CARTEL CLOCK A fine cartel clock with well cast gilt/brass case decorated with swags of vine fruits with a beautiful female masque below the drum clock case and with an urn above and cone finials on the shoulders and urn. The sides and front have silk backed sound frets. The convex enamel dial has blue Roman numerals with black minutes and is singed Gardry, Paris with gilt/brass decorative hands within a bezel with convex glass. The castings are marked ACARRE. Overall height 62cms. The 8 day movement has anchor escapement with Brocot adjuster and countwheel strike sounding hours and half hours on a bell. The backplate has the A.D.
