BALLOON SHAPED BRACKET CLOCK
A mahogany bracket clock of balloon shape with decorative satinwood inlay and gilt carrying handles.  The clock stands on bracket feet with gilt trim.  The tapered finial is topped with a gilt casting.  The gilt brass bezel surrounds the 5 1/2" enamel dial with Roman numerals and blue steel hands.  The 8 day French movement has anchor escapement with Brocot suspension and countwheel strike sounding on a bell.  The pendulum has a heavy pear shaped bob.  The backplate has a logo for E. Bernard, Paris and Japy Freres imprest.  Height 58cms Width 28cms Depth 19cms.
