MARBLE & ORMOLU CLOCK GARNITURE

A French mantel garniture, the drum clock on marble column supports with ormolu pillar caps on  a Sienna marble base and an ormolu Flambeau & Quiver finial. The pendulum has a sun king bob. The garnitures are marble urns with ormolu handles and finials.  The enamel dial has Arabic numerals and floral decoration, the gilt hands are fretted and pierced. The 8 day movement has anchor escapement  with Brocot adjustment. The countwheel strike sounds the hours and half hours on a bell. The backplate has the imprint ‘F. Marti – Medaille d’Or 1900.
