ORMOLU MANTEL CLOCK
by Leroy a Paris

An imposing mantel clock in a magnificent ormolu case decorated with foliage, fruits and birds. The case is topped with a fine figure of The Laughing Cavalier in a cocked hat. The enamel dial has Roman numerals and is signed Leroy a Paris. The gilt hands are fretted and pierced. The movement has silk suspension for the anchor escapement and countwheel strike sounding the hours and half hours on a bell. The backplate is also engraved Leroy a Paris.
