A PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK
A very decorative Dresden case with burgundy and green background decorated with floral designs and highlighted in gold. The front panel has a rural scene depicting a courting couple with sheep and a dog; the side and back panels have bird and floral designs. The matching porcelain base also has floral panels. The machine engraved silvered dial has Roman numerals and blue steel moon hands. The 8 day movement has anchor escapement with a silk suspension and a countwheel strike sounding the hours and half hours on a bell. The backplate has the imprint of Henry Marc – Paris.
